I see my work as contradictory through my process of deconstruction then reconstruction of the materials where I find ever-evolving aesthetic qualities.![]()

I studied a BA Hons degree in Fine Art at the University of Northumbria at Newcastle. Since completing my degree I am committed to my art practice where I sell work through exhibitions and commissions. I also teach art and design on a voluntary basis at New College Durham in Framwellgate Moor, where in September 2004 I intend to complete a postgraduate teacher-training certificate at Northumbria University.
My work is process based: it involves an unconventional application of methods and materials. The materials I use vary considerably, from plaster, oils dyes etc. Also I create textile work where I integrate sewing into my paintings using the discarded debris from previous works, conveying a recycling and resurrection process.
