Art, for me, is essentially a process of self-exploration. Although the means and subject may differ, the process remains the same. This is why throughout my life, as I have developed as an artist, I have also simultaneously, developed as a person.

Born in 1968, I spent my early life in Leeds, Yorkshire. It was during these formative years, that a love of painting and drawing first developed. To a large extent, I am self-taught and have painted and drawn seriously since the early 1990's.
For the past few years I have been fortunate enough to live and work in Durham. A wonderful cathedral city, Durham provides spectacular scenes, which provide constant inspiration.
I have always been fascinated by a number of subjects, including portraits, still-life and landscapes.
Exhibitions showing my work have been held in Leeds, London, Ilkley and Newcastle. Many of my works are also held in private collections in the United States, Australia and parts of Europe.
